it was my eighteenth birthday on saturday (at last)! on friday night i went out for a yummy meal with my three bestest friends in the whole world and oliver bought the most beautiful cath kidston purse and a passport cover. my three best friends are boys so thank god oliver has style. then on saturday morning i woke up and went downstairs to find balloons and presents, wrapped in cupcake wrapping paper, in the living room! bucks fizz for breakfast and then i opened them all, i got a cath kidston bag and bath sheet, some cupcake tins, some artwork for my room, chocolate (yum), a pretty silver mouse (i made my mum track one down), a cupcake bowl and last but not least A VIVIENNE WESTWOOD HANDBAG!!! its stunning, and i can’t stop looking at it and touching it. then aaron came over for presents round two, and his mum got me perfume and a cute little toy duck called puddles, aaron got me a TV and luella’s book (wanted it for ages and aaron had no idea he just bought it with his own initiative, clever aaron). he said he tried tracking down luella clothes but all he could find was an orange skirt and obviously i couldn’t wear that. then we went to go ape at woburn safari park. we got put in harnesses and then we went on this 3 hour long obstacle course through the tree tops, with tunnels and bridges and ladders and tarzan swings and really long fat zip wires. then we went for a cheeky mcdonalds and did some shopping and i got a cute new top and some new shoes. we went to TGI fridays for dinner and i got drinks for free so yummy cocktails mmmm. during dessert the waiter got the whole restaurant to sing to me and made me blow out a candle, so embarressing but kind of funny. when we got home i went straight back out to meet my friends at the pub and got really drunk on more yummy cocktails, we went to yates and i got let in for free then i got given a free bottle of champagne and then i got more drunk and danced like a fucking idiot.
busiest day in a long time but one i’ll never forget, my parents and my friends and my boyfriend spoilt me rotten and i love them to pieces for knowing exactly all the things i love
two weeks ago i went to paris with aaron and nothing went wrong! it was amazing, we went to the top of the eiffel tower (i say “we went” but i really mean “aaron dragged me”), up the arch de triumph, along the champs-elysees, for macaroons at la duree, to the notre dame, to the louvre, and then finished it off by watching the eiffel tower light up at night. paris is the most spectacular city i’ve ever seen, everything is detailed and beautiful, the people were lovely and the cakes were so yummy! i’ve never loved aaron more than i did when we were in paris, its such a relief that after a year together we can still spend 4 days non stop alone and end up better off. he makes me laugh and he listens to my nonsense and supports me when i tell him “i’m going to pick the prettiest cake and eat it no matter what it tastes like”. he protected me from the tramp that spat crisps all over the train and he just followed me because he knows i’m the good one when it comes to directions. i bought the most fantastic shopping bag from la duree, its adorable, and i bought some much crap with the eiffel tower on it you wouldn’t believe it. i can actually safely say that i’m even more determined to learn french and move to france, even if its just to work in the H&M on the champs-elysees!
